Michio Rai was my first character, I still use him. I thought a japanese name would be cool so Michio means "Man with strength of 10,000 and Rai means thunder. So Thunderous man with strength of 10,000. Michio is a W/Mo but sometimes dabbles in the mesmer arts. I mostly use him to farm but I also use him to help guildies through missions. He wears undyed Dragon armor with minor strength swordsmanship and tactics runes as well as a major absorption and superior vigor. He wields an eternal shield and either a fiery or icy dragon sword. I tend to be pretty laid back, somewhat of a school slacker if you will. I enjoy a good bit of humor and I love working hands on.

My first was/is a Mo/e, it took me a while to come to grips with the fact that I really shouldn't devote 4 skills to offense and still pretend to be an effective healer. Little Emu Ofpain is still going strong, and sees a lot of service when guildies are slapping together a group.

1. Van Falcon
2. R/Me - I read in the guide (browsing at the store) that R/Me was good for pvp. Of course I didn't realise at the time that it's really easier just to create your own pvp specific characters anyway.
3. Van made it up to auroras glade as a lv19 but around then and the previous 3 missions was having real trouble getting into groups. Then I decided that I really needed a pvp slot for flexibility so one of the 4 pve characters had to go. Van took a hit for the team .
4. Van was usually fairly serious but liked setting his pet wolf onto the bad guys and generally having fun with the beast mastery skillset. He did often take flack for not having poision arrow equipped (whatever ).

best char yet-eat my flaming arro, r/e got all the way to like...the 2nd last mission on the fire isles. now a pvp build.

My very first character was a:
W/Me with Mesmer Domination interupts, I would litterally walk up to a monster start pounding on him then tab like a mad man through all the enemies looking for something juicy to interrupt. I'd then start bouncing around like a ping pong ball becuase I'd accidentally attack them too. I think my thoughts at the time were "Woah a warrior with counterspells, ownage".
Then I discovered Blackout and spammed it on everything I could for a month straight.

I've been doing roleplaying since 20 years now, and most of the time I've been playing a priest or a wizard. Coming to GW, I wanted to play some thing different and impersonate a warrior... Loving the dark side of the force, it seemed natural to choose necro as a second profession.
My first character was called Tuldor le Noir.
His first major armor was a knight one, then a 15K wivern set (the most beatiful of them all for the warrior) then got bored and bought the FoW, still wearing it, but I would die to wear a 15K knight set !!!
Having all the major runes, weapons and stuff, I use him in the HoH, playing all but wamo.
I've been with GW since 8 months now, and back then, it was a nightmare to find a monk to group with so I decided to start a second char : a monk elementalist, who turned monk mesmer then monk anything but most of all 55hp monk as I need cash.

First one for me was Lord Mahal... e/n... I beat the game prior to the AOE patch, and loved using Well of Power. Since then Ive changed to all other classes for fun, and use my nuker once in a while when I see people bitching about the AOE patch and how nukers suck. I had stopped using meteor shower and firestorm long before the patch so it was no big deal for me. Poor Lord Mahal hasnt seen action in a while since making my other 3 chars.

1. Drizzt One =D first pet was a cat call Guenhyver....traded poor Guen cuz i couldnt dye her black, for a dire spider i called Lloth
2. R/N trying to make this as true to the character/book as possible, but ended up learning the other secondaries to make him more useful.
3. Still in use..havent completed THK as of yet....just used him last night for a few runs....trapper/spiker/runner...THK will be completed this week!!! Ranger is by far the most fun!!
4. I was trying to make this Ranger as true to the book (Drizzt Do Urden)as possible. I stopped playing him because it was getting more difficult to join any groups as a ranger. I ended up doing most of the missions with henchies, which is not that fun. I got to a point where I couldnt get a team for the later Southern Shiverpeaks quests. So i made a monk, and finished all the PvE quests in maybe 2 weeks.

Name of my first char: "Eternal Magik"
Profession: Ranger/Necromancer
What he does now: Not a lot - i just use my N/Me - however he is the proud finder of my first(of 2) black dyes
I dont know why I chose a ranger, it just appealed to me when I first got the game. However i got bored with him - only got to lvl12 or so... Reflects my personality.....in no ways whatsoever
Can't wait for Assasain in CH2!

My first char, a R/E called Ao Shinomori, he was deleted around Fort Ranik, I rushed through pre with him so that's probably why I deleted him.
After him I made a W/Mo called Fabius Cunctator, he's still alive and well, generally use him for farming, running and helping guildmates in later missions.
After Fabius I made a ranger called The Dioscuri (I love greek/roman mythology) I now mainly trap with him, he hasn't finished the game yet though.
Also made a necro called Shanked One, he's only at LA so not much to say about him other than he has sexy armor.
My personality, well I try not to go off on people in game, even when provoked, but I don't have much patience for idiocy.

My first, and still by far my favorite character: my namesake, Lord Iowerth ... whos name has been surreptiously stolen from Runescape, a game I played for quite some time (*hides from Runescape flamers*) Lord Iowerth was a leader of a bunch of elf rangers or whatnot in that game, so needless to say, he began life as a R/Mo. I've done all his secondary profession quests ... but slap me here: still haven't "beat the game" with him (will all of my other characters but him, actually ... lol)
I (like the OP) am a big fan of the versatility of rangers. Being that I have the most experience playing with them more than any other class, I feel comfortable modifying him for whatever play-area I need to take him into. I take him on UW trap runs, PvP, damage dealer, interruptor, flag runner in GvG, condition stacker ... you name it. I <3 my ranger!
Although, in retrospect ... I really wish I hadn't picked the face that I ended up with ... I think he looks surprisingly like Ben Affleck, and i'm not so sure that's a good thing
He's always the first to get shiny new things (15k armor, items, etc) followed closely by my necro, then the tank, and on down the line.
I don't like to delete characters too much, the only char i've ever deleted was my ele, to make room for a PvP slot. Which reminds me: my guild leader still has my brimstone wand and focus ... i'm going to go get that back from him.
Sayonara!

My first Character from May 2005 was the blue haired, blue eyed E/W Rena Sapphireblade, originally a pyromancer who was lacking in skill and fashion sense, these days, she sports a full set of Geomancers 15k armour and I still use her as an E/W - earth/tactics to be precise. I've nabbed the other 4 professions for her, but E/W is definitely the most fun as well as being one of the more challenging. She's easily my most played character and I use her for just about everything - missions, running, farming, you name it.
My second character, who I made back in August was Krysten Riega, a redhead W/R who has traveled about with Sakura the Moa Bird since I tamed her in the Fort Ranik mission. I play her as a swordmaster type - 16 swordsmanship, a perfect falchion and lots of adrenaline based sword attacks for dps that can keep up with all the best axe warriors out there! I also use her for Droknar runs and Dreadnoughts chest runs.
3rd was Evil Aimee, the Mo/W who I only got to lvl 20 just before wintersday, after making her just after Krysten ;/ Anyway, I play her as an out and out smiter, lots of fun and very rewarding when it works. Just to make things more challenging for me, I gave her a req 8 flamberge with -10 armour recently to play as an armour 50 character. Dunno where I'm gonna go with her at the mo- I'm using her as a pack mule for all the perfects I've farmed with Rena.
My 4th slot on my 1st account has had many inhabitants, but it is currently home to Hinata Whitefire, a W/R in presearing who serves only to a: Hunt Charr and b: Be a placeholder for my assassin's name until factions is released.

Quick Monty
Ranger
Finished storyline and now does trapping runs or helps other people do missions.
Full set of 15K druids dyed green, plus extra pieces for switching runes.
Almost deleted this one around Northern Shiverpeaks. But then started getting some decent skills and found out how versatile and fun a range is.

My first was my Ele, Ozymandias Aylomen. He was a supernuker (almost all AoEs) until the nerf, then I switched him to the infinergy build. I like him because he looks like a weirdo, and his dance is freaking sweet. I started him about 2 weeks after GW was released, and didn't finish the RoF missions until last month - I was busy making my warrior, monk and necro and there wasn't really any point to doing those anyway.
Also, he burns things. I like that.
